Vigil honoring Renee Good draws community support in Ann Arbor

A march is planned for Jan. 10, 2026, at 10:30 a.m.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Community members came together for a vigil in Ann Arbor to honor Renee Good, the mother who was killed by ICE in Minnesota.

The event, held on Friday (Jan. 9), was led by Ann Arbor Indivisible, a progressive pro-democracy group.

Attendees said they want to show unity, especially amid widespread fear.

The group is also planning a march on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2026.

The march will begin at 10:30 a.m. at State Street and North University.

Participants will march to Ann Arbor City Hall for a short rally.
