Macomb County man to stand trial for attempted murder in assault of elderly neighbor

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A 66-year-old Clinton Township man has been bound over to stand trial in the assault of his neighbors.

On Sept. 6, 2025, Kurt Studing reportedly pulled his 75-year-old neighbor off a lawnmower and began kicking and punching him.

The man’s 67-year-old wife attempted to intervene and was allegedly shoved to the ground multiple times.

Both neighbors required medical treatment for their injuries.

Studing was charged with assault with intent to murder and assault in battery.

On Tuesday, Jan. 13, Studing was bound over to stand trial on all charges. He is scheduled to be arraigned Feb. 2.
