ALLEN PARK, Mich. – The Detroit Lions are looking to a familiar face to fill their next offensive coordinator position as they’re interviewing former Atlanta Falcons coordinator Zac Robinson.
The interview is scheduled for Thursday (Jan. 15), per National Insider Ian Rapoport of NFL Network and NFL.com.

No, Robinson is not a familiar face to Detroit, but he is familiar with Lions quarterback Jared Goff from their time with the Los Angeles Rams.
As a former quarterback, Robinson was drafted in the seventh round of the 2010 NFL Draft, but he began coaching during the 2019 season under Rams head coach Sean McVay.
Robinson then joined the Falcons as their offensive coordinator during the 2022 and 2023 seasons.
During the 2022 season, Robinson led the Falcons to the No. 13-ranked best scoring offense with former Michigan State Spartans quarterback Kirk Cousins and Michael Penix.
Atlanta dropped to No. 24 in scoring offense amid injuries.
The 39-year-old is considered a wizard, and with familiarity with Goff, who struggled at times this season, and former Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel, he should be the guy to get the Lions back on the right track.
