Ex-Georgia OLB Natrez Patrick earns spot on Lions roster after rookie minicamp
ALLEN PARK -- The Detroit Lions announced on Monday they are signing outside linebacker Natrez Patrick to the 90-man roster. Patrick earned the spot after a standout performance as a tryout player at the club’s rookie minicamp over the weekend. Patrick once anchored that mighty Georgia defense, racking up 160 tackles in 40 games from 2015-18. He played 432 special teams snaps in 25 games from 2019-20 before getting released. To make room for Patrick on the roster, the Lions cut outside linebacker Jessie Lemonier, who made two starts for the club when injury and COVID riddled the defensive depth down the stretch last season.
