Southfield police investigate death of 28-year-old snow plow driver pinned under vehicle

Preliminary investigation indicated no suspicion of foul play

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. – The Southfield Police Department is investigating the death of a 28-year-old driver that got pinned under the vehicle.

The incident occurred on Friday (Jan. 16) at 4:30 p.m. in the parking lot of the 19000 block of W. 12 Mile Road.

Once on scene, officers located the 28-year-old Canton resident pinned underneath his vehicle.

Preliminary investigation indicated no suspicion of foul play.

Police said the man appeared to have been servicing his vehicle when a piece of equipment fell on him.

As a result, he succumbed to his injuries.

The incident remains under investigation.
