A 4Warn Weather Alert remains in effect this morning. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory until 1PM for all of Southeast Michigan.
Give yourself extra time for your morning commute as widespread snow showers will drape the area leading to lower visibility and slick conditions.
Total snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches are expected, with highest amounts between I-94 and I-69. Snow tapers off midday. Highs will be more seasonal today in the low 30s.
Scattered flurries will likely return tonight and Thursday with some minor accumulation possible. The next focus after today will be the dangerously cold wind chills that are expected Friday through the weekend. Wind chills of -10F to -20F are expected each morning with highs in the single digits.
