ROSEVILLE, Mich. – A Dearborn man who raped a child over several years in Macomb County has learned his prison sentence.

Prosecutors said Otayek sexually assaulted a child younger than 13 years old multiple times over several years in Roseville.

After a three-day jury trial and eight hours of deliberations, Otayek was found guilty.

On Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2026, Otayek was sentenced to 25-40 years in prison.

“This sentence reflects the extreme seriousness of the defendant’s crimes and the profound harm inflicted on one of the most vulnerable members of our community,” Macomb County Prosecutor Peter Lucido said. “Our office remains unwavering in its commitment to aggressively prosecute those who exploit and abuse children. We hope this outcome brings a measure of justice to the victim and sends a clear message that such conduct will be met with severe consequences to protect public safety.”

The sentence of 25-40 years stems from the two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a person under 13 and a defendant 17 or older. He was also sentenced to 8.25-15 years on the second-degree charge, but the two sentences will run concurrently.

Otayek received credit for 62 days.

He would have to be electronically monitored for life after his release. He’s also required to register as a Tier III sex offender, which is a lifetime registration that puts him in a database of people convicted of crimes linked to children.
