In just a few months, Metro Detroit’s biggest used book and media sale will get underway.
Bookstock will be held from April 26 through May 3 at Laurel Park Place in Livonia.
Next month, they will be collecting gently used books, audiobooks, records, CDs and DVDs for the big sale. That will be happening at Congregation Beth Ahm on Maple Road in West Bloomfield.
But, right now, it’s all about being the “BEST.”
Every year, fourth-grade students in the Detroit Public School Community District have a special opportunity, and it all surrounds reading and writing.
It could mean money for your student and a donation to your student’s school.
More information about the contest can be viewed at the beginning of this article.
For the teacher, if you are able to submit at least five student essays, you will be entered to win a gift card and a class field trip to the Parade Company. There’s even a drawing for a Local 4 personality to come and read to your classroom.
