Metro Detroit to see windy end to the work week ahead of wintry weekend

Wind Advisory Across Metro Detroit for

Light rain is pushing north through the morning, but the remnant moisture has resulted in patchy fog.

This will not be as long-lived as yesterday due to winds picking up today and mixing the air. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 47 by 10 a.m. today, then falling into the 30s during the remainder of the day. As temperatures are falling through the day. Otherwise, as temperatures fall winds will be picking up leading to wind chills below freezing.

Southeast Michigan will be under a Wind Advisory from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Southeast wind 10 to 15 mph will turn southwest 15 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 45 mph through the afternoon.

Turning cooler with snow chances this weekend. More seasonal with highs in the 30s near 40. We could pick up an inch of accumulation by Sunday night. We then drop below average early next week with highs around 30, but then rebound into the 40s by midweek.
