On Sunday, March 1, 2026, Warren officers saw two vehicles, a Ram truck and a KIA Optima, traveling eastbound in the westbound lanes on 8 Mile Road near Van Dyke Avenue.

The Ram allegedly stopped in front of the Optima and reversed into it.

When officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the Ram reportedly fled, leading police on a chase that ended when the truck collided with a guardrail and a parked car, according to the prosecutor’s office.

Officials said that during attempts to detain the driver and passenger, the Ram struck a patrol vehicle multiple times.

Officers eventually used chemical spray to bring the situation under control, and both men were taken into custody.

Charges

McQueen has been charged with the following:

  • Third-degree fleeing a police officer (5-year felony)
  • Malicious destruction of police property (4-year felony)
  • Two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon (each 4-year felony)
  • Assaulting or obstructing a police officer (2-year felony)
  • Reckless driving (93-day misdemeanor)
  • Open alcohol container in a vehicle (90-day misdemeanor)

McQueen was also charged as a habitual fourth-time offender.

He was arraigned on Monday, March 2, and his bond was set at $100,000 cash/surety. If he posts bond and is released, he must wear a GPS tether.

McQueen’s probable cause conference is scheduled for Thursday, March 12.

Brown, McQueen’s passenger, has been charged with the following:

  • Two counts of assaulting or obstructing a police officer (each a 2-year felony)

Brown’s bond was set at $10,000 cash/surety. He is also scheduled to appear in court for a probable cause conference on March 12.

“The allegations in this case reflect a brazen disregard for law enforcement and for the safety of our community,” said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido. “Fleeing from police is an inherently dangerous act that puts innocent members of the public at serious risk. My office maintains a strict policy of not offering reduced plea agreements to individuals charged with fleeing and eluding.”
