According to authorities, the Huron Township Police Department was asked at about 2 p.m. to assist Taylor officers with a pursuit involving an armed suspect who was wanted for fleeing and eluding after three separate incidents in Taylor and one in Trenton.

The woman also allegedly made more than two dozen 911 calls and threatened to shoot officers.

Authorities said the suspect eventually drove into the Carleton Farms Landfill, where she attempted to ram multiple patrol vehicles.

Bulldozers reportedly blocked her from going any further, so she turned around and traveled toward the officer’s head-on again, and continued down the hill, where she was blocked in.

Police said she wasn’t unlocking her car or responding to their commands, so officers broke one of her rear windows to unlock the car.

She was pulled from the vehicle and taken into custody.

A search of the vehicle led to the recovery of nine guns (handguns and scoped rifles, some loaded).

Sears was charged in a Taylor courtroom with fleeing police, carrying a concealed weapon, misuse of emergency telephone service and reckless driving.

A probable cause conference was set for March 9.

She is expected to see charges in other jurisdictions.
