WAYNE COUNTY, Mich. – A 15-year-old boy has died after being hit by a car while he was riding an ATV in Redford Township Sunday evening.
Police said the teen was stopped on the roadway of 6 Mile and Kinloch on March 8 at around 8 p.m. when he was struck by a car traveling westbound.

The 15-year-old, who police said was not wearing a helmet, died at the scene.
The driver of the car that struck the teen stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Police said alcohol and speed are not believed to be a factor in the crash.
