DETROIT – A new location of a popular sandwich chain is opening in Detroit’s Corktown neighborhood this week.
The new Jimmy John’s will open at 1620 Michigan Ave. on Wednesday, March 11, according to a release. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 10:30 a.m., followed by a grand-opening celebration.

After the ribbon-cutting, the first 25 customers will receive free chips and a free drink with any sandwich purchase.
The new 1,600-square-foot restaurant is owned by The Tomey Group, a family-owned company headquartered in Farmington Hills.

The new Jimmy John’s location will offer delivery, pickup, dine-in and catering options. It will be open Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
