MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. – A Macomb County man is facing attempted murder charges after reportedly assaulting a woman during a custody exchange and firing a gun at two other people.

According to authories, a 26-year-old woman and 33-year-old Daronta Williamson got into an argument during a custody exchange that escalated into physical violence on March 7.

Williamson reportedly took out a gun and threatened to kill the woman before leaving without completing the exchange.

The child was reportedly left at a family member’s home, but has since been reunited with the victim unharmed.

Shortly after, deputies received reports that Williamson allegedly fired a gun multiple times at two separate people and into the air.

A witness described the vehicle believed to be his, which matched the description from earlier.

Deputies later found Williamston parked at Station 68, where he was taken into custody.

A gun and ammunition were reportedly found in his vehicle.

Williams was charged with two counts of assault with intent to murder, discharging a firearm at a building, assault with a dangerous weapon, domestic violence and four counts of felony firearm.

His bond was set at $100,000 and he remains lodged at the Macomb County Jail.
