High winds send utility pole onto car in Dearborn

DEARBORN, Mich. – High winds across Metro Detroit sent a utility pole onto a car.

The utility pole fell onto the car on Roemer Street, not far from the intersection of Michigan Avenue and Schaefer.

Officials had not released information about the car’s owner, whether power lines were involved, or when crews would make repairs.

Local weather and emergency officials had not released final gust measurements or an official assessment of storm damage.
