‘We’re looking for you!’: Big Sean, Pistons help search for girl’s handmade missing poster

Missing poster draws NBA stars’ attention

DETROIT – Nine-year-old Nora Jamil smiled as she watched a now-viral video in which Pistons stars Cade Cunningham and Jalen Duren addressed her directly.

“Nora, we’re looking for you. Come get this back,” said Cunningham.

On Friday, Nora sent a poster she hoped to have autographed with a friend, Noah, who was attending the Pistons vs. Grizzlies game at LCA. She says her friend Noah has had success getting players’ autographs in the past, so she sent him there with a poster she made.

“I made this poster, I put all of their names underneath it put a box for all of their signatures.”

But things didn’t go as planned.

“When he was trying to get it in, they took it away, and I was really sad.”

Nora’s mother, DeAnna Jamil, said her daughter had spent a lot of time on the poster and was heartbroken when it went missing.

A video featuring Big Sean, along with Cunningham and Duren, drew attention to the missing poster, which they had found and prompted the search for Nora.

“My mind was blown when the two were on the video saying my name!”

The family, longtime Pistons fans, said they were relieved and excited when they saw the video.

Nora hasn’t gotten it back just yet, but says she plans to hang the poster in her room as soon as it is returned.
