DETROIT – Detroit police are asking the public for information after a nonfatal shooting of a woman who was driving in Detroit.
The incident occurred on Feb. 4, 2026, in the 14200 block of Mettetal Street when police said a 38-year-old woman was driving around 8:54 p.m. when police said an unknown suspect pulled alongside her vehicle and fired a shot that struck her.
Police said the suspect vehicle is described as a gray Dodge Durango with blue floodlights and a broken rear driver ’s-side window.
Witnesses reported the vehicle was last seen heading north on Mettetal Street, then eastbound on Grand River Avenue.
The victim was treated at a Metro Detroit hospital for her injury.
Police did not release the woman’s name or condition.
