MACOMB COUNTY, Mich. – It’s an ongoing battle -- drivers not stopping for school buses picking up kids. Now, Shelby Township is stepping up its crackdown on drivers.
In Michigan, about 2,200 drivers speed past a school bus with flashing lights every single day. That’s about 400,000 every school year.
It’s not just a problem in Shelby Township, but spending a few hours with their traffic enforcement teams makes it feel that way. So, that department is saying no more.
