The charges stem from an alleged assault that happened on Sunday, March 29.

Green allegedly lives at a residence with his girlfriend and her 61-year-old brother, James Miller.

When Green arrived home on March 29, he found Miller asleep on the couch and allegedly hit him on the head with a weightlifting bar several times.

After that, Green went and found his girlfriend, who was sleeping in a different room.

He told her to call 911 for Miller.

Officials said Miller is in critical condition with a decompressed skull fracture and a brain bleed.

Green was arraigned in 42-2 District Court on Thursday, April 2, and Magistrate Scott K. Ausilio set his bond at $250,000 cash/surety, no 10%.

He was ordered to wear a GPS tether and to undergo drug testing three times a week if he is released.

Green also can’t return to the residence where he attacked Miller, and he cannot consume alcohol or drugs.

The judge also granted his defense team’s request for a psychiatric evaluation.

Green’s probable cause conference is scheduled for April 16, and his preliminary examination is scheduled for April 23.

“It is extremely troubling that a man was allegedly assaulted while he slept, completely defenseless,” said Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido. “Domestic violence is not limited to romantic partners. If you are the victim of domestic violence, call 911 in the event of an emergency.
