DETROIT – For vendors, the event is more than a marketplace — it’s a chance to build brand recognition and connect directly with customers.

“It’s a staple and if you’re a vendor and you’re blessed enough to be here, it’s worth it,” said Larry Crockett of Lorraine’s Premium BBQ Sauce.

Jennyfer Crawford-Williams, founder of All Things Detroit Day, is now in her 12th year organizing the event. She said she sees her role as more than just an organizer.

“I’m like their cheerleader, right. I’m their small business hype woman and it’s an honor that I take seriously and I’m going to make sure that I can work to make sure everyone knows about all these businesses,” Crawford-Williams said.

Loyal shoppers keep coming back year after year, drawn by the unique vendors they can’t find anywhere else.

“Because of Mason Tone and Sweet Potato Sensations and some fabulous vendors that are here that you don’t see in one spot except for here,” said shopper Linda Mills.

For vendors like Bridgett Rice of B.Jacklean, the event is a chance to put one-of-a-kind pieces in front of new audiences.

“Seeing people with my clothes and knowing that they’re bold, a statement piece, a conversation piece. Anywhere they walk in someone is going to ask them who made that? How did you get that? B.Jacklean,” Rice said.

Crockett echoed the sentiment, emphasizing the power of showing up.

“You want people to taste your products, you want them to see you, and events like this help you out. It’s brand recognition. You have to be recognizable and showing up like this Jennyfer does it great for us and it’s an important place to be. It’s the place to be for all things Detroit,” Crockett said.

For those who missed this year’s event, there’s good news — All Things Detroit Day returns in November.
