Police say men broke into Detroit home 6 times during renovations -- here’s what was stolen

$1,000 reward offered for information that leads to arrest

DETROIT – Detroit police said someone broke into a house six times while it was undergoing renovations.

The break-ins happened Thursday, April 16, 2026, at a home in the 1000 block of Navahoe Street on Detroit’s east side.

Police said men broke in through a back door six times within a 24-hour period. The home was unoccupied because of ongoing renovations.

The men stole two doors, a gas heater, a tabletop stove, and other items, according to authorities.

Detroit police are asking for help from the public as they try to identify the men in the pictures below. A reward of $1,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest in the case.

Anyone who recognizes the men or who has additional information is asked to call the 5th Precinct at 313-596-5540, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP to remain anonymous.
