Meet one of the Muirhead Teacher of the Year Students’ Choice Awards winners

DETROIT – Nicole Rodriguez, an eighth-grade science teacher at Stout Middle School in Dearborn, was honored with the Alberta Murad Teacher of the Year Student Choice Award, as students recognized educators who made a significant impact on their lives.

Student Noor Hajjaj, who nominated Rodriguez, praised her for teaching beyond the curriculum and making learning an adventure.

Rodriguez expressed gratitude for the recognition, emphasizing the daily rewards of building deep connections with her students.
