Teen girl injured after unknown suspects shoot into crowd on Detroit’s west side

Police have not released information about possible suspects or a motive in the shooting

DETROIT – A teenage girl was injured in a shooting after unknown suspects fired shots into a group of people on Detroit’s west side.

The incident occurred on Thursday (May 28) around 7 p.m. in the 14300 block of Crescent Drive.

Police said the suspects fired shots into a crowd, striking the girl.

Officials said the victim was transported to a Metro Detroit hospital, where she was being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police have not released information about possible suspects or a motive in the shooting.

The investigation remains ongoing.
