DETROIT – One man was killed, and another was injured in a shooting on Detroit’s east side.
The incident occurred on Monday (June 1) when officers responded to the 11900 block of Gratiot Avenue after a ShotSpotter alert.

Upon arrival, officers said they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds.
Police said one of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials said the second victim refused medical treatment.
Additional details about the circumstances surrounding the shooting were not immediately available.
The investigation remains ongoing.
