WARREN, Mich. – A Macomb County jury has convicted Kayvon Briscoe Hall, 21, of Warren, of second-degree murder and felony firearm charges in the fatal shooting of his partner.
Hall was found guilty after jurors deliberated for less than two hours following a five-day trial on Wednesday (July 15).

Hall was convicted of second-degree murder, a felony punishable by life in prison or any term of years, and felony firearm, which carries a mandatory two-year prison sentence to be served consecutively to the murder sentence.
Hall is scheduled to be sentenced Aug. 19 at 8:30 a.m.
According to prosecutors, Warren police responded to a home on Oct. 2, 2025, after receiving a report of a shooting.
Officers found 63-year-old Roger Willie, Hall’s partner, lying unresponsive on the floor with apparent gunshot wounds.
Police provided life-saving aid until Warren firefighters arrived.
Willie was transported to Henry Ford Macomb Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido said the verdict holds the defendant accountable for a “senseless act of violence.”
