The Southfield Police Department responded to a report of a shooting at around 12 p.m. on July 19.
Officers said the response came from the area of Eight Mile Road and Beech Road.

According to police, at this time there are no reports of injuries from the incident.
A small portion of Eight Mile Road was temporarily closed while officers processed the scene.
The roadway has since been reopened to traffic.
The investigation remains in its early stages and is ongoing.
At this time, the suspect has not been taken into custody.
