Garden City police locate parents of found child

GARDEN CITY – Police in Garden City have located the parents of a 3-year-old girl who was found walking alone in the city overnight on Thursday.

Police say the girl, described as non-verbal, was found around 12:37 a.m. in the area of Cherry Hill and Middlebelt roads. The department issued a release to try and locate the girl’s parent(s) or legal guardian, and reportedly received a phone call from her parents early Thursday.
