WINDSOR – Police in Windsor are searching for a 30-year-old man who they say fled to Michigan while on house arrest for multiple charges, including the sexual assault of a child.
The charges against Daymien Alexander Kennedy stem from four separate incidents, police said: the alleged sexual assault of a 6-year-old girl; an assault on a woman using a hot torch lighter; and an assault in which a woman was threatened and cut with a knife.
Kennedy is also charged with publishing intimate images of a woman online without her knowledge or consent.
Police say he was placed on house arrest after being released on bail in December 2025. Windsor Police bail compliance officers discovered that Kennedy had fled while performing a routine compliance check in April 2026.
After unsuccessful attempts to locate him, investigators are seeking help from the public to determine his whereabouts.
In addition to facing charges for sexual assault, sexual interference, assault with a weapon (x3), assault, publishing an intimate image without consent, mischief (x2), and uttering threats, Kennedy is now wanted for failure to comply with a release order.
Anyone with information about Kennedy’s location is asked to contact the Windsor Police Service Offender Management Unit at 519-255-6700, ext. 4390. Tipsters can also contact Windsor & Essex County Crime Stoppers anonymously at 519-258-8477 (TIPS) or online at catchcrooks.com.
