Man found shot in middle of Gratiot Avenue in Detroit 64-year-old man dies at hospital
DETROIT – A man was found shot Wednesday morning in the middle of Gratiot Avenue near Van Dyke, Detroit police said.
Police said a 64-year-old man was found in the middle of the road by a driver. That driver stopped and pulled him to the sidewalk but left the scene prior to police arriving.
The man was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Gratiot Avenue was closed near Van Dyke on the city's east side while police investigated the deadly shooting.
