Stellantis is recalling an estimated 320,065 plug-in hybrid SUVs in the United States to address a potential fire risk.

The recall affects certain model-year 2020–2025 Jeep Wrangler 4xe and 2022–2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe vehicles.

A company review of customer data led to an internal investigation that discovered 19 fires.

The risk is reduced when the battery charge level is depleted, and owners are advised to refrain from recharging their vehicles. Out of an abundance of caution, the company also recommends that owners park away from structures or other vehicles until repairs are made.

A remedy is expected soon, and affected customers will be notified when they can schedule service. FCA urges owners to follow the instructions on their recall notices.

Customers with questions can contact customer care at 1-800-853-1403 or visit https://recalls.mopar.com for more information.

Additional vehicles are affected in Canada (about 20,753), Mexico (about 2,653) and certain markets outside North America (about 32,238).
