Northville Township resident finds 'Drano bomb' on yard

MSP bomb squad had cleared area

NORTHVILLE TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A Northville Township resident woke up Sunday morning to find two plastic man-made Drano bombs on their yard, police said.

The resident, who lives on the 15000 block of Jupiter Hills, called police, who dispatched the Michigan State Police Bomb Squad to investigate.

Neighbors said they heard popping sounds around 2 a.m.

The bomb squad recovered the explosives, and police said the area is safe. Police are unsure why the explosives were left in the resident's lawn.
