MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. – A 30-year-old Sterling Heights man was arrested Wednesday after he made threats against two Macomb County Circuit Court judges, authorities said.
A threatening email was sent Sept. 26 to a Royal Oak attorney's office. In the email, the writer threatened to "sever the heads" of two judges.
The threats were sent using a mobile device and were sent from a fake email address, police said.
Police said Mohammad Subhi Alsheleh was identified as a suspect based on his child custody proceedings in front of both judges. Alsheleh was taken into custody Wednesday on an outstanding warrant from Chesterfield Township.
Alsheleh is charged with false report or threat of terrorism and using a computer to commit a crime. Both charges are 20-year felonies.
Alsheleh was arraigned Monday in Sterling Heights. He's being held in the Macomb County Jail on $50,000 bail.
