VIDEO: Rochester police pursue Jeep swerving all over road after driver's diabetic reaction

Police say driver's diabetic reaction prompted pursuit on Walton Road

ROCHESTER, Mich. – Dashcam video from the Rochester Police Department shows a Jeep swerving all over the road with officers in pursuit after the driver had a diabetic reaction, police said.

Police said the Jeep was traveling east on Walton Road with headlights off and swerving in and out of lanes. Officials said the driver ran multiple red lights and wouldn't stop for police.

Officers said the driver had low insulin, which triggered a diabetic reaction and caused the driver to lose control of the Jeep.

You can watch dashcam footage of the pursuit in the video posted below.

Oakland University police started the pursuit, but Rochester officers deployed stop sticks to deflate the Jeep's tires.

The video above shows a Rochester police officer following the Jeep as it swerved between two eastbound lanes and drove up on the curb multiple times.

In the end, three police vehicles boxed the Jeep in and a Rochester police officer got out to stop the driver from going any farther.

Police said there were no injuries or crashes during the chase.
