Warrant issued for Detroit Police Officers Association President Mark Diaz

Diaz accused of malicious destruction of building, reckless driving

DETROIT – Detroit Police Officers Association President Mark Diaz is facing felony charges of malicious destruction of a building between between $1,000 and $20,000 and reckless driving.

Oakland County Prosecutor Jessica Cooper said Friday that a warrant was issued for Diaz. She said it's up to the court to issue the official arrest warrant.

Diaz was arraigned Friday at the 52-2 District Court in Clarkston. 

Michigan State Police said he was arrested Dec. 20. He received a $10,000 PR bond and is ordered not to return to Holly Academy.
