Man in custody after stepmother found dead in northwest Detroit home

DETROIT – A 36-year-old man is in custody Friday after his stepmother was found dead in a home on the city's northwest side.

According to police, the woman was found dead at a home in the 7000 block of Bramell Street.

Family members went to the house Friday and, when no one answered the door, broke a window and found the woman's body.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
