DETROIT – The Detroit Lions and Carolina Panthers square off this Sunday, but it seems the game has already begun in the media.
Carolina's QB Cam Newton gave a weird media session on Wednesday. Yes, weird. Reporters asked Newton, who missed the Panthers' week 1 game with a rib injury, about his health and contract extension. Cam pretty much ignored them. He uttered the same answer 5 times, including what appeared to be shots at Lions DT Ndamukong Suh.

Newton's delivery varied slightly, but his basic repeated statement was about focusing on the Lions, and staying protected from Suh, whom he called "Donkey Kong Suh" and "my fellow Auburn teammate" Nick Fairley. Yes, weird.
