Packers convert Lions missed FG into a TD

DETROIT – Lions kicker Matt Prater's fifth missed field goal of the season -- a 39-yarder -- ends up hurting Detroit twice.

Aaron Rodgers and the Packers took over after the miss and marched down the field for the game's first TD, giving the Packers a 7-0 lead. Prater's miss is essentially a 10-point swing for the home team, placing them in a second quarter hole.

The Packers scored on a 7-yard pass from Rodgers to Aaron Ripkowski. Jared Cook had two big receptions on the drive for a combined 35 yards.

A defensive holding penalty gave the Packers a first and goal at the 9-yard line.
