This hasn't stopped fans from enjoying the last season at Joe Louis Arena.

The Red Wings rank 4th in total home attendance (520,702), and 4th in average home attendance (20,027).

Detroit is also still a big draw on the road.

The team ranks 1st in average road attendance (19,102), and 2nd in overall average attendance (19,583).

The Wings have had strong attendance numbers for many years, especially during their historic 25-year playoff streak, which is in serious jeopardy.

The team will leave Joe Louis Arena after the 2016-17 season, to move to the new Little Caesars Arena in Detroit.
