Michigan State University’s Tom Izzo Football Building was selected for a 2025 Build Michigan Award by the Associated General Contractors of Michigan.
The Build Michigan Award, presented annually by the Associated General Contractors of Michigan, recognizes outstanding commercial construction projects in the state that exemplify exceptional management skills, creativity, perseverance under challenging conditions and innovative construction techniques.

Bluewater Technologies, an audio visual integration company specializing in the sports and entertainment sector, played a key role in the collaborative effort that led to being selected for the award.
A four-company team of Bluewater Technologies, Granger Constriction, Integrated Design Solutions and Jack Porter Branding collaborated to reimagine the 65,000 square-foot facility.
The project team assigned to the Tom Izzo Football Building transformed and expanded a facility, originally built in 1980, into a modern, immersive, and interactive football hub.

- Lobby Video Wall and Sound System: A captivating video wall and premium sound system that creates an engaging experience in the lobby.
- Locker Rooms: Advanced signage and sound systems to support team activities and energy.
- Individual Offices: Modern meeting displays for coaching and staff collaboration.
- Player’s Lounge: An high-tech entertainment hub with top-notch audio visual equipment – designed for relaxation and camaraderie.
- Gear Lab: Interactive touchscreens for showcasing gear and enhancing player engagement.
- Crestron DM NVX System: A powerful system that links together all audio visual components into one unified platform, ensuring seamless, high-quality video and audio throughout the facility.
