Since the beginning of time, boxers have been known to have some controlled chaos during their annual face-off against one another.
But when Dana White, who was promoting the first boxing match of his illustrious promoting career, called Crawford and Álvarez to the center of the stage.
As the men met, Bud started walking Álvarez back until Álvarez shoved Crawford off of him, which triggered a frenzy among security and their respective camps.

Boxing is often described as the purest form of sport, representing the literal imposition of one man’s will on another.
It is why the biggest fights in boxing become massive cultural events.
When two of the greatest fighters in history face off, it becomes like water in a boiling pot as tempers start to boil until the immense pressure overflows and spills out.
Fans who are about to witness a defining moment in sports turn an American-sized stadium into a gladiatorial arena where blood is expected.
From what was displayed on June 22, 2025, the anticipation is palpable as the moment approaches.
The undefeated champion, Crawford, stands ready, adorned with all the belts that signify his dominance in the ring.
“This is the Terrence Crawford era,” Crawford declared, emphasizing his readiness for the next challenge.
Crawford has his sights set on the undisputed super middleweight champion, Álvarez.
“This is a resume that is Hall of Fame worthy,” Crawford said, acknowledging Álvarez’s legacy as “the king of boxing.”
The mega-fight has been building for years, with both boxers preparing for this pivotal moment.
Crawford said, “I’ve been preparing my whole life for this moment. This is one of those fights that will be talked about forever.”
Álvarez, recognized as one of the greatest Mexican boxers of all time, has the support of his entire nation.
All of Mexico will be backing Álvarez, but Crawford, who played the villain as the fans in attendance booed him, is seen by many as a boxer who is on another level.
The press conference at Javits Center in New York City set the stage for what is being billed as the fight of the decade.
On Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025, Crawford and Álvarez will clash in Las Vegas, with the event broadcast exclusively on Netflix.

Crawford, hailing from Omaha, Nebraska, boasts an impressive record of 41 fights with 41 victories, including 31 knockouts.
He is the only fighter in boxing history to become an undisputed champion in two different divisions during the four-belt era.
Álvarez comes to the ring with a record of 67 fights, 63 victories, two losses, two draws, and 39 knockouts.
He is recognized as the reigning and defending undisputed super middleweight champion of the world.
The press conference features key figures in the boxing world, including His Excellency Turki Al-Sheikh, who emphasize the importance of this fight for boxing fans globally.
“This is a fight fans’ dream,” said Al-Sheikh, acknowledging the significance of having an undisputed world champion. “We have the most expensive boxing contract ever.”
As the fighters prepare for their showdown, questions arise about their strategies and motivations.
Álvarez reflected on his training under coach Eddie Reynoso, stating, “Eddie is the best trainer in the world. We’re going to prepare ourselves, especially for Crawford.”
Crawford, confident in his abilities, responded, “I’m hunting everything that he got, and I’m going to take it come Sept. 13.”
The excitement continued as White, a prominent figure in combat sports, shared his enthusiasm for promoting this historic fight.
“This is a once-in-a-lifetime fight,” said White, highlighting the significance of the event.
Crawford and Álvarez will face off for their third and final press conference on Friday, June 27, 2025, in Las Vegas, and from the looks of it, get your popcorn ready as more fireworks are expected to go off to end the press tour.
