Newly acquired Green Bay Packers star Micah Parsons has always been a rival to Detroit Lions fans -- especially after some clashes with the Cowboys in recent years.

Parsons and the Packers open the season vs. the Lions at Lambeau on Sunday, and the linebacker had a lot to say about his week 1 opponent.

”I felt like Dallas and Detroit already had a rivalry. I already got that rivalry built up where I’m excited to play them. I never liked Detroit. I never liked them. Even when I was in Dallas, it’s always a heavyweight fight, every time they came in," Parsons told reporters on Thursday. “I’m excited to play them, I’m very excited, and it’s going to go all 12, 15 rounds.”

Parsons also took a bit of a shot a Detroit’s reputation for running trick plays.

“Trick plays are for people who can’t beat you straight up," Parsons said, calling them a “scared tactic.”

I’m sure Dan Campbell and the Lions won’t be using any of these comments for motivation on Sunday.
