Detroit Lions place CB D.J. Reed Jr. on injured reserve after Week 4 hamstring injury

Reed will be sidelined for at least four games

ALLEN PARK, Mich. – The Detroit Lions have placed cornerback D.J. Reed Jr. on injured reserve after his Week 4 hamstring injury against the Cleveland Browns.

Reed was placed on IR on Wednesday (Oct. 1) and will be sidelined for at least four games.

Reed injured his hamstring in the Lions’ Week 4 34-10 victory over the Cleveland Browns inside Ford Field.

He was carted off the field in the second half of the game while covering and attempting to tackle Cleveland wide receiver Jerry Jeudy.

Reed made an interception on former starter Joe Flacco, intended for Jeudy, during the second quarter. He also accumulated four tackles in the matchup.

Signing

On a positive note, the Lions signed safety Loren Strickland and linebacker Ty Summers to the active roster from their practice squad.

The Lions also signed cornerback Tre Flowers and cornerback Nick Whiteside to the practice squad.
