EAST LANSING, Mich. – This year’s meeting between Michigan and Michigan State will be a night game broadcast on Local 4.
Michigan announced late Saturday night that the in-state rivalry is once again slated for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff on NBC.

Since the Wolverines and Spartans met on Halloween day during the COVID season in 2020, each of their matchups have taken place on the last Saturday of October.
This will be the fourth-straight 7:30 p.m. kickoff in this series.
Michigan is coming off a 24-7 victory against Washington to improve to 5-2 on the season. The Wolverines are a fringe top-25 team with loses in their two biggest tests so far, at Oklahoma and USC.
Michigan State began the season with a trio of out-of-conference wins but has since dropped all four of its Big Ten games against USC, Nebraska, UCLA, and Indiana.
The Spartans won seven of eight meetings with Michigan from 2008 to 2015, but the Wolverines have since recaptured the rivalry by winning six of the last nine, including each of the last three.
Last time the game was in East Lansing, Michigan drove home with a 49-0 victory.
