DETROIT – The Detroit Lions are one of the most banged-up teams in the NFL dating back to last season, specifically in the secondary.

Cornerback Terrion Arnold and safety Kerby Joseph are expected to practice this week, however they are both listed as questionable.

Speculation is aplenty as we are coming down to the wire on the 2025 trade deadline.

Here are some names the Lions could be targeting:

Jaelan Phillips, Dolphins (LB)

Known for his impressive pass-rushing skills, Phillips paired with Aidan Hutchinson would make an elite pair for the Lions.

Trey Hendrickson, Bengals (DE)

There are no official reports linking the Lions to Hendrickson, but he has been the subject of trade rumors. An All-Pro edge rusher, he would be a great addition, but it is not confirmed the Bengals are willing to give him up. Additionally, he left Sunday’s game vs. the Jets early because of a right hip injury.

Arden Key, Titans (OLB)

Although Key has dealt with and is rumored to still be working through a quad injury this season, he could make a nice rotational piece to pair with Aiden Hutchinson.

Riq Woolen, Seahawks (CB)

An upcoming free agent this offseason, Woolen’s athleticism and speed could make him a nice rental piece for the Lions to improve upon their secondary as they make a deep playoff run this season.

Rasul Douglas, Dolphins (CB)

A nine-year veteran and pick six machine, Douglas would bring experience and leadership to the Lions secondary.

Alontae Taylor, Saints (CB)

Another free agent in 2026, Taylor is a seemingly underrated player who consistently performs and could be a secondary boost for the Superbowl-seeking Lions.

The trade deadline is Tuesday, Nov. 4, at 4 PM ET.
