The Wolverines joined the announcement alongside Moller’s team, Spanish Club Baloncesto Unicaja Alhaurín de la Torre.

The diagnosis has forced him to temporarily pause his basketball career, the release says.

Moller is currently in Denmark receiving medical treatment.

“At this time, his health and well-being are the absolute priority, so both the player and the Club have agreed to focus all efforts on his recovery for as long as necessary,” the release says.

The Michigan basketball program released the following statement:

We want Marcus to know that he will not face this alone, as so many people are thinking of him and sending him strength every single day.

While he focuses on his health and recovery, we truly look forward to having Marcus with us in Ann Arbor this summer and are beyond excited for his future as a Wolverine.
