Detroit Pistons center Isaiah Stewart out at least 1 more week following injury

Stewart, according to the team, will be re-evaluated in one week

DETROITDetroit Pistons center Isaiah Stewart is expected to miss another week following an injury he suffered last week against the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Pistons announced on Tuesday (March 17) that Stewart suffered a Grade 1 left calf strain in the March 13 matchup and was undergoing treatment.

Stewart, according to the team, will be re-evaluated in one week.

Reports indicate that Stewart has been dealing with the injury for some time now, as the Pistons (48-19) continue to stand pat at the top of the Eastern Conference standings, with a four-game lead in the loss column over the Boston Celtics (45-23).

In the Grizzlies game, Stewart made his return from a seven-game suspension for his role in an on-court altercation with the Charlotte Hornets on Feb. 9.

Stewart played 20 minutes, shooting 5-10 from the field for 10 points before sustaining the injury.

He played through it as the Pistons won 126-110 inside Little Caesars Arena.

Stewart missed the Pistons’ matchup against the Toronto Raptors on Sunday, March 15, following a 119-108 road loss.
