The Detroit Lions announced that five Metro Detroit organizations will receive a combined $370,825 in grants through the team’s 2026 Inspire Change initiative.
The program was launched by Lions players and ownership following the 2018 NFL season.

It supports community organizations focused on education, mental health, youth development, and family services.
This year’s recipients were selected with input from current Lions players.
The 2026 grantees are:
- Alternatives for Girls
- CALM
- The Lomas Brown Jr. Foundation
- Pure Heart Foundation
- The Yunion
Alternatives for Girls
Alternatives for Girls, which supports girls and young women experiencing homelessness and other risks, plans to use its funding to sustain and enhance its shelter and transitional living programs.
The initiative provides long-term housing support, life skills training, education, and employment assistance.
CALM
CALM, a nonprofit focused on the mental health and wellness of Black women, will use its grant to expand access to therapy, referral services, youth wellness programming, and caregiver support initiatives.
Lomas Brown Jr. Foundation
The Lomas Brown Jr. Foundation, which provides scholarships and academic enrichment opportunities for students, plans to support its LEAP Camp programs.
Those include a summer workshop focused on drone technology and a winter reading initiative.
Pure Heart Foundation
Pure Heart Foundation, which serves children of incarcerated parents, will use its funding to maintain year-round trauma-informed after-school programs and family support services.
The Yunion
The Yunion, a youth and family services organization operating in Metro Detroit, plans to expand its Cave of Adullam Transformational Training Academy.
The academy provides mentorship, skill development, and character-building programs for middle- and high-school-aged boys.
