Man killed by hit-and-run driver on Detroit's west side

Police looking for gray Saturn Outlook in connection with incident

DETROIT – Detroit police are looking for the driver who hit and killed a man who was crossing the street Thursday night on the city's west side. 

Police said the victim, who is only described to be a man in his 40s, was crossing at the intersection of Meyers Road and Puritan Avenue at about 9 p.m. when he was hit by a driver in a gray Saturn Outlook -- possibly 2007 to 2010 model year. The driver didn't stop, police said.

Police said they don't have a description of the driver, but said the Saturn could have front-end damage.
