Brown hosted Fox's pregame for the 2002 Super Bowl, which occurred nearly five months after 9/11. With the coronavirus pandemic still at the forefront, Brown realizes Sunday's โSuper Bowl Todayโ show could offer the same opportunities, but in a different manner. This is a different kind of backdrop where many people have just been fatigued, given all of the challenges that weโve had to endure during this time.โAdThis will be a record 10th Super Bowl pregame hosted by Brown and his sixth for CBS. He became the pregame host for Fox in 1994 when they outbid CBS for the rights to the NFC package.

(CBS Pittsburgh) โ The Pittsburgh Steelers remained undefeated in Week 5, pushing aside the Philadelphia Eagles to earn their fourth win of the season. And the Cleveland Browns, who the Steelers will host in Week 6, fended off the Indianapolis Colts to stay tied with the Ravens. The AFC North continues to be the toughest division in football this season, with three early-season playoff contenders. The Steelers defense also tightened up when it had to, stopping the driving Eagles twice late. This is a good football team.โThe win over the Colts was the kind of game the Browns are used to losing.

Peyton Manning and Charles Woodson are among 14 first-year eligible candidates for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The roster of nominees consists of 65 offensive players, 49 defensive players and 16 special teams players. A maximum of five modern-era players will be chosen when the selection committee meets the Saturday before the Super Bowl in Tampa, Florida. Eighteen finalists will be presented to the full 48-member panel: the 15 modern-era finalists, and the recently nominated Drew Pearson (senior); Bill Nunn (contributor); and Tom Flores (coach). Enshrinement at the hall in Canton, Ohio, will take place next August, when members of the 2020 class and a special centennial class also will enter the football shrine.

Johnson was surprised with the announcement during a live broadcast, similar to the way the news was broken to former Steelers coach Bill Cowher on Saturday. Legendary @dallascowboys coach @JimmyJohnson finds out live on TV he is the newest member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame! Aikman and Johnson won back-to-back Super Bowls together in the 1992 and 1993 NFL seasons. Johnson joins Cowher as a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame's 2020 Centennial Slate, a special group of 15 inductees to honor the NFL's 100th season.

Cowher was surprised with the news in the middle of a live pregame broadcast for the AFC divisional playoff game between the Tennessee Titans and the Baltimore Ravens. Cowher recognized Baker and seemed to know what was coming, as he became emotional before Baker even made the announcement. "On behalf of all of us who love this game, and the Pro Football Hall of Fame, it is my privilege," Baker began. After stepping away from coaching, Cowher turned to broadcasting, joining "The NFL Today" as an analyst in 2007.
