U.S. Rep. Charlie Crist has won the Democratic nomination for governor in Florida, putting him in position to challenge Gov. Ron DeSantis this fall in a campaign that the Republican incumbent is eyeing as the first step toward a potential White House run.

Bukaty)BATH, Maine The international president of the Machinists union rallied striking workers at Bath Iron Works, urging them to stay strong Saturday and saying there's no way in hell the union will back down. Bath Iron Works is one of the Navys largest shipbuilders and a major employer in Maine, with 6,800 workers. The company needs to be able to hire subcontractors to get caught up, the shipyard's president contends.
